Justine Osborne is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California, practicing out of the city of Los Angeles with offices centrally located in West LA.

Justine received her Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, and trained extensively at South Bay Center for Counseling in El Segundo. There she treated individuals, couples, families and groups in a clinic setting. She had a special focus on teenagers and substance abuse prevention groups. Justine also received training at the Women’s Clinic & Family Counseling Center where she worked with women on relationships and health issues. Justine has extensive experience and expertise in treating individuals suffering from chronic pain and illness in addition to infertility and pregnancy loss. She has worked with couples and focuses on attachment styles and issues in her work with them.

Justine worked at The Rape Treatment Center in Santa Monica, CA for over four years and has specialized training in sexual assault and sexual harassment prevention and education. She has worked in high schools all over Los Angeles talking to teens about sex, sexual assault, and issues such as sexting and harassment. She brings this expertise to her work with teens and their parents when dealing with issues surrounding sexual health. She also has specialized crisis response training in the treatment of sexual assault.

Justine brings a unique energy to therapy. She believes that every person has the ability to change and grow and strives to provide unconditional acceptance throughout the therapeutic process. She pays close attention to patterns, and looks to understand a person’s full story before examining the “issue” that is bringing the client in. Justine uses a collaborative approach so that she and her clients can explore, discuss, challenge thoughts and feelings, and create goals.

Justine’s style uses warmth, compassion, intuition, optimism, and collaboration. She is active in therapy, and although she finds listening to be incredibly important, she’s known to challenge her clients, highlight where they’re stuck, and encourage their transformation.
